President William Ruto has insisted that he will not be distracted nor be swayed by those opposing his presidency, insisting that he will continue with his transformative agenda of shaping this country in the right direction.
The president stated that he is not concerned by the “one term” claims that is being propagated by the opposition noting the country has lost a lot time in the last two years due to unnecessary politics instead of leaders focusing on development.
The head of state, who spoke at the second Kenya Urban Forum 2025 official opening in Naivasha, insisted that he is a man on a mission, and his plan to transform this country is still on course and will not be interfered with.
The president took a swipe at critics of his government’s affordable housing initiative, noting that it is part of Kenya’s journey to urbanization.
“Some people think that by starting the affordable housing project the government has other hidden motives l but that is not the case, I just want to ensure Kenyans get decent living by moving out of shanties and slums,” the President stated.
Kenya Urban Forum whose theme for this year is “The Future is Urban”organized by the State Department for Housing and Urban Development in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, will bring together urban stakeholders to share a common urban development vision that addresses the challenges facing cities, municipalities, towns and market centers in Kenya.
