“I’m the straightest guy you’ll ever meet”- MP Karauri offers Ksh 10 million to blogger over alleged video scandal

Kasarani Member of Parliament and prominent businessman Ronald Karauri has issued a bold public challenge to blogger Edgar Obare, offering Ksh 10 million if an alleged compromising video is produced by a specified deadline.

Breaking his usual silence on social media gossip, Karauri addressed the circulating rumors head-on in a video statement.

“I usually don’t address nonsense, but on this one I must speak on it. First of all, to the point, I am extremely straight. I’m the straightest guy you’ll ever meet,” Karauri declared.

Karauri made it clear where his personal challenges lie.

“If I’m going to have any issues, it’s gonna be with women. In fact, women are the root of all my problems in this life. I’m very blessed, but women are the ones who bring me trouble,” he stated.

The businessman suggested the allegations might be politically motivated and warned those pushing that agenda.

“Maybe it’s political, maybe they have an agenda they want to push. Don’t be scared. If it’s a political issue, we’ll meet in the ring,” he said.

Directly confronting the blogger, Karauri said that the story is fake and everything has been fabricated.

“Edgar Obare, this fake story of yours, it’s totally fabricated and you know it. I don’t know what agenda you’re going to push. If it’s about extortion, I have money for you,” he stated.

In an unprecedented move, the MP displayed bundles of cash totaling 10 million shillings and issued a deadline.

“I’m giving you up to end of day today, to 5 p.m. Share this video, let’s see what it won’t entertain all of us. The money I have here for you is 10 million shillings. You share the video, 5 p.m. today, we’ll see how my life is doing in it. We can verify all those things,” he said, addressing Edgar Obare.

However, Karauri expressed strong confidence that no such video exists and outlined his alternative plans for the money.

“Since I know that video does not exist, what I’ll do with this money when you are unable to produce the video, 8 million will go to my foundation. We continue supporting our children,” he explained.

Karauri then explained that the remaining Ksh 2 million funds will support the Majembe celebrity boxing event.

“I’ll give them 2 million so that I give 1 million for my Kasarani people to attend the fight. And the other 1 million, then you can use it as prize money,” he promised.

The MP concluded his statement with a challenge to the blogger.

“So Edgar, it’s a new banner. Share a video to own it. Even me, I want entertainment. Entertain us, please,” Karauri said.
