A newly-wed in the U.S state of Oklahoma is mourning the sudden death of her husband just hours after they tied the knot.
Country musician Jake Flint, 37, died in his sleep a few hours after the Sunday November 27, 2022 wedding.
"We should be going through wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in," the widow Brenda Wilson Flint, wrote on Facebook. "People aren't meant to feel this much pain. My heart is gone and I just really need him to come back. I can't take much more. I need him here."
She posted a video of herself dancing with her husband underneath a tree on their wedding day.
"I don't think I've ever experienced such a shocking set of circumstances with losing someone and how cruel this is for Brenda, his wife," the musician's publicist Clif Doyal told the Oklahoman newspaper. "To become a bride and a widow in just a few hours is unfathomable."
BBC reports that the late musician ventured into music after his father was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
"Unable to physically play with his son, the elder Flint ensured that Jake learned to play the guitar. Over time, he began attending regional music festivals and penning his own lyrics."
Flint had four albums to his name. They were released between 2016 and 2021. The cause of death has not been announced.
