Isiolo South Member of Parliament Mohamed Tubi, was laid to rest on November 13, 2025 in accordance with Islamic rites at the Tuloroba Muslim Cemetery in Isiolo Town.
Hundreds of residents and leaders, led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, gathered to pay their final respects to the late legislator, who passed away on November 12, 2025 at Nairobi Hospital.
In his tribute, Speaker Wetang’ula described the late MP as a peace-loving leader who was committed to promoting harmony and development in his constituency.
He noted that despite battling health challenges since his election, Tubi continued to represent the people of Isiolo South diligently in Parliament.
Wetang’ula remembered the MP for his efforts in championing land and security issues, adding that his dedication to his constituents was evident throughout his tenure.
He further urged the family and residents of Isiolo to accept the passing of their leader, reminding them that death is inevitable, and called on them to honor Tubi’s memory by maintaining peace and unity.
Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali also paid tribute to the late MP, describing him as a peace-loving leader whose legacy should be preserved through continued harmony in the region.
Isiolo County Senator expressed gratitude to the National Assembly, led by Speaker Wetang’ula, for standing with the family during Tupi’s final days, especially after his medical insurance coverage had been exhausted.
