Juja MP George Koimburi found dumped at coffee plantation after being abducted

Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi has been found alive but in critical condition at a coffee plantation in Kiambu County after being abducted by unknown people on Sunday May 25, 2025.

His family reported that Koimburi was found on Monday morning and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Ruiru Town before he was transferred to Nairobi Hospital for specialized treatment.

Koimburi was reportedly abducted by unknown individuals outside a church in Mugutha, Kiambu County, on Sunday afternoon.

A video shared on social media shows the abduction incident as the MP being driven away in a silver Subaru Forester bearing civilian registration plates.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has denied any involvement in the abduction, or arrest of the Juja MP.

However reports show that Koimburi was being sought in connection with alleged land fraud and misuse of Constituency Development Funds (CDF).
