Kalonzo urges Government to act on reports of invasion by Jubaland forces

Wiper Patriotic Front Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has called on the Kenya Kwanza Government to ensure peace prevails in Mandera County following reports of invasion by Jubaland forces.

Speaking during a church service in Mavoko Sub-county, Machakos, Kalonzo faulted the silence of key State leaders.

“The Cabinet Secretary for Defence and the Commander-in-Chief are quiet while our people in Mandera County continue to suffer. They must come out, speak, and take action,” said Kalonzo.

Kalonzo also urged Kenyans to remain vigilant and prepare for meaningful change at the ballot.

“This country will not be the same again. The young people  ‘Gen Z ‘ shed their blood to liberate Kenya from bad leadership,” he noted.

At the same time, DAP-K Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa, who accompanied Kalonzo, expressed concern over the insecurity in Mandera, terming it regrettable that the government remains silent.

“It is sad for the country to witness what is happening in Mandera. Let’s pray for our brothers and sisters under attack from Jubaland forces while the government of the day remains quiet,” said Wamalwa.

On her part, Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti affirmed that Kalonzo Musyoka, as Wiper Party leader, is now the official opposition leader following Raila Odinga’s alignment with the Kenya Kwanza government.

“Now that the former Prime Minister has joined hands with the government of the day, Kalonzo Musyoka stands as the official opposition leader  and that is democracy,” said Wavinya.

Governor Wavinya further rallied support for Kalonzo’s 2027 presidential bid, describing him as the leader best suited to steer Kenya forward.

“Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, we are looking up to you. You will be the president of this country , to other leaders, do not use our Party Leader to climb up the ladder only to abandon him later,”  Wavinya added
