Kangemi: Man in trouble for allegedly defiling 15-year-old boy

A man was on Wednesday, May 21 charged before the Milimani Children’s Court for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old boy in Kangemi, Dagoretti South, Nairobi County.

Kennedy Otieno Ochieng was charged with defilement, an alternative charge of indecent act, five counts of child pornography and trafficking in persons.

The court heard that on diverse dates between 1st February 2025 and 23rd April 2025, Ochieng allegedly “intentionally and unlawfully” defiled the boy.

Otieno was charged with five accounts of child pornography, contrary to Section 24(1)(d) of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act No.5 of 2018.

Prosecuting, led by Counsel Grace Musangi, told the court that between 8th February and 24th April 2025, the accused person unlawfully produced a child pornography video, found in possession of a child pornography video, and unlawfully shared the video using his mobile phone.

“He was also charged with trafficking in person, where it is alleged that on the diverse dates between 1st February 2025 and 23rd April 2025 at Waruku -Kangemi in Dagoretti Sub County harboured a male aged 15 years, to exploit the said child sexually,” the charge sheet reads in part.

The accused denied the charges before Hon. Dr Alice Macharia, and therefore, he was denied bond.

The case is set for hearing on 17th June 2024.
