The Kenya Morans, the nation’s second-string men’s rugby 7s team, are preparing for the upcoming Rugby Africa Men’s 7s Cup, scheduled to occur at the Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mauritius on June 21-22, 2025.
In this 12-team tournament, Kenya finds itself in Pool A, where they will face off against their long-time rivals Uganda, the reigning champions, as well as Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana.
Pool B includes formidable opponents such as South Africa, who recently clinched victory at the 2025 HSBC SVNS World Championship, along with Burkina Faso, Zambia, and Nigeria.
Pool C features Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, and the host nation, Mauritius.
The Kenyan squad enters the competition with a strong desire to regain the African title that slipped away last year when they finished sixth after a disappointing run in the two-legged event, also hosted at Labourdonnais Sports Club.
