Radio presenter and stand-up comedian Francis Munyao, popularly known as MCA Tricky, has criticized Kenyan leaders over the recurring floods affecting Nairobi, questioning why residents continue to face the same problem every time heavy rains hit the capital.
In a video posted on his official Instagram account on Saturday, March 7, 2026, the comedian expressed frustration over the situation, arguing that Kenyans contribute substantial taxes yet still endure flooding that disrupts daily life.
“Kenyans pay a lot of taxes for them to go through this painful cycle of calamities! You will see them on top of heavy vehicles from now on, telling you what you want to hear,” Tricky said.
The comedian questioned why flooding remains a recurring issue in the city, suggesting that authorities should be able to implement effective drainage solutions to reduce the impact of heavy rains.

“Kwani, how expensive is it to manage the degree of flooding in a capital city?” he asked.
His remarks come as heavy rains continue to pound parts of Nairobi and other regions of Kenya, leaving several roads submerged and disrupting normal activities.
Videos and photos widely shared on social media show motorists struggling to navigate flooded streets, with some vehicles partially submerged in water.
In several parts of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area, the floods also triggered major traffic snarl-ups, leaving commuters stranded for hours.
The comedian’s comments add to growing public concern over urban drainage and infrastructure management as the rainy season continues to affect the capital.
