Kiambu Deputy Speaker John Njue charged over Ksh 130K bribery

Kiambu County Deputy Speaker and MCA for Hospital Ward John Njue Njiru is set to be arraigned this morning before Thika Anti-Corruption Court on charges of bribery.

The EACC alleges that Njue demanded Ksh130, 000 from Thika businesswoman in order to permit and facilitate protection of her development works on her own plot worth Ksh15 Million.

The suspect, who has been out on EACC police bail pending completion of investigations, was arrested on 13th June 2023.
