The unthinkable is happening. Two of boxing’s greatest names Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to step into the ring in 2026.
On Thursday night, Tyson, 59, shook the boxing world when he posted a dramatic “Legend vs. Legend” poster on Instagram. The image showed half of each fighter’s face, with just two words beneath: “Coming Soon.”
“This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen,” he admitted. “I still can’t believe Floyd wants to really do this. It’s going to be detrimental to his health, but it’s signed and it’s happening!”
Mayweather, 49, was unshaken. Calm, confident, and undefeated, he told TMZ Sports:
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years and there hasn’t been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy. You already know that if I do something, it’s going to be big—it’s going to be legendary. This exhibition will give the fans what they want.”

And fans do want it. Tyson, the “Baddest Man on the Planet,” is a knockout artist with a record of 50-7, 44 of those wins by knockout. Mayweather, the defensive genius, is 50-0, untouched and unrivaled in the history books.
The matchup raises more questions than answers: Where will it take place? What rules will govern the fight?
Will it mirror Tyson’s 2024 showdown with Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium, which drew tens of thousands, or something even bigger?

What’s certain is this: it won’t be just another exhibition. It’s a collision of eras, a fight drenched in nostalgia, pride, and legacy.
Two legends. One ring. And a moment boxing fans thought they would never see.
