The Iten law Court in Elgeyo Marakwet County has granted a suspect bail of KSh10 million or a surety of an equivalent amount after he was found transporting 266.2 kilograms of bhang.
Appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Emmily Kigen, Vincent Odhiambo was charged with committing the offence on January 18, 2026, at the Kapchorwa–Torongo area in Keiyo South Constituency, Elgeyo Marakwet County, together with others who did not appear in court.
They were allegedly found transporting 266 kilograms of cannabis valued at KSh13.3 million.
The accused denied the charges and was remanded at Tambach Remand Prison after failing to raise the bond.
However, the case is scheduled to be mentioned on February 2, 2026, and heard on February 11, 2026.
