The Nairobi County Swimming Association (NCSA) is gearing up for its highly anticipated Minnows Meet 2025, scheduled for May 24-25, 2025, at the state-of-the-art 25-meter, 8-lane competition pool at Kiota School on Dennis Pritt Road.
This event serves as a crucial platform designed to introduce young swimmers to competitive swimming within a professionally managed and encouraging environment.
NCSA leadership, including Chairman Teddy Wamunyu and Hon. Secretary Kenneth Karani, extended their appreciation for the unwavering support in developing swimming in Nairobi County, emphasizing their mission to create positive swimming experiences that leave lasting memories. The association remains committed to fostering a peaceful, focused, and united future for the sport.
A standout feature of the Minnows Meet is its inclusivity: no qualifying times are required, welcoming swimmers of all levels to participate based on their commitment and passion. The meet will leverage advanced timing and scoring technology, including the ETD System 7, to ensure real-time and accurate results for all participants.
The Minnows Meet also plays a key role in NCSA’s structured pathway for swimmer development. Performances at NCSA-sanctioned meets contribute to swimmer rankings, which guide athletes towards national and international competitions. NCSA proudly notes its swimmers have already excelled internationally, representing Kenya in prestigious galas like the Summer Sizzler and DIAC Gala in the UAE.
Parents, schools, and coaches were reminded to submit entries by the May 17, 2025 deadline to ensure their swimmers are part of this exciting event. NCSA continues to underscore its commitment to providing official recognition for results, professional meet management, and structured development for every swimmer.
