Missing political blogger Ndiangui Kinyagia, who was reported missing last week, has finally made contact with his family and confirmed that he is safe, healthy, and in hiding, according to an official statement issued by his legal representative, Advocate Wahome Thuku.

In a statement released on Thursday July 3, 2025 in the morning, the family revealed that Ndiangui reached out to one of his relatives on the evening of Tuesday, July 1, from an undisclosed location.

He explained that he had gone into hiding after learning that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were allegedly pursuing him for undisclosed criminal allegations.

Mr. Ndiangui indicated to the family member that he had hidden temporarily for fear of his life, but he is now ready and willing to present himself to the DCI and appear before any court of law, provided his safety and security are guaranteed.

According to the family, Ndiangui is expected to present himself before the High Court at Milimani Law Courts on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11am.

The family has also informed the same to the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) for legal analysis and presentation in court.

The statement further stated the family’s concern about how DCI officers reportedly broke into Ndiangui’s residence in Kinoo in his absence and seized several items without a warrant.

The incident was reported at the Kinoo Police Station, and the family has since been pushing for justice.

“We wish to thank all Kenyans, both in Kenya and abroad, for the support they have accorded us throughout this trying moment. It is our hope and prayer that justice will prevail in this matter,” said Wahome Thuku.
