Morara :The only thing that ‘Partyless’ and ‘leaderless’ can achieve is a civilian coup

Inject Party Leader Morara Kebaso has called on Gen Z to take charge of their political future by forming their party instead of relying on established outfits.

In a statement posted on his X account (formerly Twitter) on August 1, 2025, Kebaso stressed that the young generation must be organized politically if they want to influence change in the country.

“You can only change this country in two ways: with your vote at the ballot or with a gun in the battle,” he said.

Kebaso warned that without a youth-driven party, Gen Z aspirants would have to depend on tickets from established parties like UDA, ODM, Wiper, or DCP, where money and tribal affiliations often determine nominations.

“These members of parliament that you ridicule for their foolishness could win again in 2027 through money and political party influence if you don’t do something,” he cautioned.

He further outlined the cost of forming a political party, noting that registration requires about KSh 3 million to KSh 4 million, while acquiring an existing one could cost between KSh 10 million to KSh 12 million.

According to him, this is achievable if young people come together to join hands in contribution. “This is money that you can easily fundraise, 1 bob per person.” He affirmed.

Despite admitting that he has “taken a step back,” Kebaso reiterated his support for youth-led initiatives, saying, “If you fix this country’s economy, I will be on the Forbes list in a minute.”

His remarks come as conversations around youth participation in politics intensify, with the 2027 general election drawing closer.
