‘Mulembe nation is fully united on Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid’ -Governor Lusaka

Bungoma County Governor Kenneth Lusaka has expressed confidence that the Western region will rally overwhelmingly behind President William Ruto in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a women empowerment fundraiser held at Mayuba Stadium in Sirisia on June 14, 2025, Governor Lusaka stated that the days of political divisions in Western Kenya are over.

According to him, elected leaders from the region have closed ranks and are backing Ruto’s re-election bid as a bloc.

He confidently declared that the Mulembe nation is now fully united in support of the Head of State.

“President Ruto is poised for a resounding victory. If he could defeat a united front of Uhuru and Raila, what chance does this fractured opposition have?” Lusaka said.

The Governor further dismissed the current opposition as weak and disorganized, adding that Ruto’s development agenda and political muscle make him the clear front-runner.

Lusaka urged the Luhya community to continue supporting President Ruto’s leadership, noting that the region stands to benefit significantly from his administration in terms of development and representation.

He also took the opportunity to highlight the progress made under his leadership in Bungoma County, citing improvements in infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, and agriculture.

At the time, Lusaka assured residents that his government remains committed to delivering on its promises and keeping the county on a steady development path.
