Controversial preacher Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Centre and Church based in Kilifi County stunned his congregation after revealing that God told him he would die in February.
The pastor made the shocking disclosure during a church service, calling his wife to confirm the prophecy before the entire congregation.
“I want to tell you something I told it to you yesterday and you didn’t understand. My wife is over there, give her the microphone,” Pastor Ezekiel announced.
He then asked his wife directly when God told he would die.
“Mungu aliniambia nitakufa lini?” Ezekiel asked his wife.
“Mwezi wa pili,” she responded, confirming February.
The pastor explained that only the two of them knew about this divine revelation.
“Ni yeye na mimi, watu wawili ndio tunajua,” he said.
He compared his experience to the biblical story of King Hezekiah who was also told about his impending death.
Pastor Ezekiel recounted receiving the message in January.
“Aliniambia Ezekiel utakufa mwezi wa pili. Nikaamka nikaketi nikamuamsha mke wangu nikamwambia amesema nitakufa mwezi wa pili. Mke wangu akaniuliza tutafanya nini,” he explained.
He clarified the prophecy was specific to February 2026, not next year.
According to the pastor, a bishop had previously warned him after his massive Nairobi crusade in Kitengela that another test was coming and he needed to offer God a significant sacrifice.
“When God told me you are going to die this month, I just knew. Bishop told me, after Nairobi crusade in Kitengela, what you did has never been done. Another test is coming. You need to look for a sacrifice and give to God,” Pastor Ezekiel stated.
He added that he was waiting for an opportunity to give God something extraordinary that nobody else could give.
“When God told me you are going to die this month, I just knew. I am waiting for an opportunity to give God what nobody can give,” Ezekiel said.
