Mwingi West MP accuses fellow Wiper MPs of secretly meeting President Ruto

Mwingi West Member of Parliament (MP), Charles Ngusya Nguna, has accused fellow Wiper legislators of hypocrisy, claiming that several of them have secretly met with President William Ruto despite publicly criticizing him.

Nguna, who recently met President Ruto while the Wiper Party held its National Delegates Conference (NDC) in Nairobi, said their discussion centered on development matters.

He added that the President commended him for taking what he termed as a bold step.

The MP revealed that he has faced humiliation within the Wiper Party since voting in favor of the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Nguna also lamented that he is now being condemned for meeting the Head of State, despite Ruto being a national leader.

He further claimed that all 22 Wiper MPs have previously visited State House in secret, asserting that he is more transparent because he did not conceal his own meeting with Ruto.

In addition, he clarified that he has not defected from the Wiper Party but is working with the current government to champion development for his constituents.
