Marion Naipei has finally broken her silence about the viral video that turned her life upside down.
While speaking on an interview on Too Personal with 2mbili, she said that the person who was supporting her to pay rent, cut her off, saying he was just her blesser.
“Mtu alikuwa ananisupport, alinicut off. No, it’s another guy. Not the person who recorded. Not boyfriend, just a helper. A blesser. He is just a good white Samaritan from Italy, he was helping my son and I and this trend made him cut off. He no longer talks to me,” Marion explained.
Despite everything, Marion still has her sense of humor.
When 2mbili joked that even President Ruto had probably seen the video, she didn’t miss a beat: “Wallahi, si angeniita, nimfurahishe kidogo. Mkumbushe aangalie tena na tena.”
Marion explained how she met James Opande on Tinder in April last year, and after months of chatting, they finally decided to meet in person at a local pub.
“He is someone I knew and really trusted,” she said.
That trust was shattered that night. “I was too drunk to see if he was recording.”
When she confronted him after the video went viral, Opande denied it at first.
Then he tried to play victim, saying “it has also caused him problems especially with his wife.”
Marion found out on a Thursday morning, when a friend called to tell her she was trending on Telegram.
“My friend sent me the video and when I saw my face in it, I was traumatized,” she said.
The worst part is when her father saw it first, leading to painful confrontations with both parents.
She escaped to Mombasa to get away from it all, but the damage was done.
“The freedom is no longer there,” she said.
Marion also addressed rumors about Mosiria, making it clear he’s just been supportive. “Mosiria is just helping, I have seen people making AI videos of me kissing him, that is not the case, Mosiria is the good guy here.”
Her message to Opande is clear:
“The biggest mistake Opande did is posting and recording without my consent. He even said that he was just recording for his own consumption. I can only forgive Opande if he comes out right and seeks an apology.”
Marion and her supporters tried to get justice, even reporting the case at JKIA.
“We even went to JKIA to report but we didn’t get him,” she said.
Then came what Marion describes as another setup. Two people claiming to be Opande’s negotiators, Olivia and Don, contacted her.
“Olivia told me that she wants to take me out somewhere, but all along, her and Don, wanted to get me drunk and expose me again. They wanted to take a nude photo of me and say that that is my trend just to save the boychild in this case,” Marion stated.
Both, Olivia and Don, were arrested, but the justice system failed her again.
“They later were arrested but wakatolewa on cash bail ya Ksh 10,000 by a politician, Babu Owino.”
Marion said that in all this she blames Opande.
“I really blame Opande because how many times have, I gotten drunk. Why is it that those other times he has never recorded,” she said.
Marion revealed that the worst people have told her is to leave the older men and she jokingly said; “Kama wazazi wenu wanafika bei, tufanye? What can we do?”
