A woman in Kenya is seeking justice after allegedly being violently assaulted by her ex-husband, an officer in the General Service Unit (GSU).
The GSU officer, identified as Francis Ndungu, who is also the father of her child, is alleged to have viciously attacked her over the weekend in an incident.
“My sister was assaulted by her Ex husband (baby daddy) over the weekend. He is a GSU officer and says there is nothing we can do since he comes from a wealthy family,” claimed her cousin.
According to the victim’s family, she has already taken the necessary legal steps:
- A medical examination report confirms physical injuries consistent with assault.
- An Occurrence Book (OB) number has been issued by a local police station.
- A P3 Form has been filed.
- In addition, graphic photos of bruises and an audio recording of the attack, in which the victim is heard begging for mercy.
“We have a doctors report, OB no and a P3 form. I also have a recording of him beating her as she begs him to stop.”
What makes this case even more troubling are the power dynamics involved. The survivor alleges the GSU officer openly boasted during the assault that “nothing would happen to him” due to his wealth, family connections, and position in the police service.
“He told me to scream as loud as I wanted, that no one would come because he’s untouchable,” the victim reportedly said in her statement.
Despite the evidence, there has been little movement from authorities, and the accused officer remains free. This has prompted fears of a cover-up or institutional reluctance to investigate one of their own.
