A Kenyan digital platform is preparing to plant its flag in the Middle East, signaling a bold new phase for homegrown tech on the global stage.
Nairobi-based More Classifieds Agency has entered into a strategic partnership with Saudi entrepreneur Fauzia Saleh Al Sawaqi, opening the door to one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.
The agreement, signed in January, ushers the firm into international territory with the launch of More Classifieds Agency Gulf Region, scheduled to go live in March 2026.
Riyadh will host the regional headquarters, placing the Kenyan firm at the center of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market and positioning it to serve businesses across Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Under the arrangement, Al Sawaqi will oversee regional operations while rolling out More Classifieds’ proprietary technology and marketing framework, the more 360 degrees marketing model across the Gulf.
Managing Director Mahat Abdi Dore said the move elevates the competitiveness of Kenyan digital firms beyond East Africa.
“This collaboration reflects our vision to empower businesses beyond borders through localized, data-driven and affordable digital marketing solutions. By combining our platform technology and marketing expertise with Fauzia Saleh Al Sawaqi’s regional insight and market leadership, we are building a bridge between Kenyan innovation and the Gulf market,” said Dore.
The firm will offer business listings, digital advertising, content development and data-driven marketing tools tailored for enterprises across the GCC.
Analysts say the expansion highlights the rising export of Kenyan digital services, particularly to the Middle East, now a key destination for firms in technology, finance and professional services.
Such ventures are seen as critical in diversifying Kenya’s export base beyond traditional pillars like agriculture and tourism, while projecting locally built digital platforms onto the global stage.
For Saudi Arabia, the entry of a Kenyan digital marketing firm adds to the growing pool of international service providers driving private-sector growth and digital transformation under Vision 2030.
Small and medium-sized enterprises across the Kingdom and the wider GCC are increasingly seeking affordable digital visibility as competition intensifies and consumer engagement shifts online.
The Riyadh rollout will mark the first phase of More Classifieds Agency’s Gulf expansion, with plans already in place to extend services to other GCC countries in subsequent stages underscoring Kenya’s expanding footprint in the global digital economy.
