The County Government of Narok is seeking applications from qualified, competent ,motivated individuals to fill in the 150 vacancies for game rangers and 30 game wardens.
In a public notice dated Wednesday August 6, 2025, Narok county government noted that the recruitment process would take place across various sub-counties between 8th September 2025 and 18th September 2025 in Narok.
The recruitment exercise will take place at Ole Ntimama Stadium, Olokurto Primary School, Nairagie Enkare DEB, and Ololulunga Sub County headquarters.
Other venues include: Olchekut Supat Secondary School (OSAS), Sogoo High School,Kilgoris DEB, Emurua Dikirr Primary School and Ilkarian Primary School.
Kenyans who are committed and have passion for wildlife conservation are encouraged to participate in the application process.
The recruitment aims at offering 150 positions under permanent and pensionable terms of service.
Successful candidates will be paid a minimum wage of Ksh 19,220, Ksh 20,600, Ksh 21,380, Ksh 22,180, or Ksh 23,130 per month.
Candidates applying for this positions should be Kenyan citizens with a valid National Identity Card, possess a minimum academic qualification of KCSE Grade D- (Minus) and have a clean criminal record, with no past convictions or pending cases.
The candidates should also Present a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Should be physically and mentally fit to handle field operations, including long patrols and emergency responses.
They should be between 18 and 28 years of age at the time of recruitment and be at least 5 feet 4 inches (1.63 meters) tall for male candidates and at least 5 feet 2 inches (1.57 meters) tall for female candidates.
In addition, candidates must fulfill the provisions of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity, and demonstrate adherence to Article 232 on the values and principles of public service.
The board emphasized that successful applicants would undertake a rigorous paramilitary training course lasting not less than six (6) months fully funded by the Narok County Government.
The game rangers and Cadets will safeguard and maintain the security of wildlife in national parks and reserves, and conducting surveillance patrols.
They will also ensure the safety of tourists in protected areas, guiding visitors when required, and upholding public safety within conservation zones.
Mane the gates, outposts, and field stations, and provide information to visitors, and reporting on security or wildlife activities in their areas of operation among others.
