Uhuru, Ruto to meet respective MPs ahead of first Parliamentary sittings

President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to meet Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Members of Parliament at State House, Nairobi, today. 

Reports indicate that the meeting has been called to strategise ahead of the first parliamentary sittings slated for Thursday, September 8.

Likewise, President-elect William Ruto will also meet the MPs under the Kenya Kwanza Alliance at Karen, Nairobi.

MPs elected in the recently-concluded polls will be sworn in on Thursday. They will also elect Speakers for the National Assembly and Senate and their deputies.
