Giant cockroach plucked from man's ear

This is not the first time that a cockroach in the Philippines had made international news. In May 2019, a large cockroach climbed up the country’s President Rodrigo Duterte’s arm as he spoke at a campaign rally.

Cameras were rolling as the roach rushed down the front of his shirt, a female aide frantically trying to brush it off.

Duterte, unfazed by the bug, swatted the cockroach away and joked that it was sent by the opposition party, calling it a “Liberal”.

The image quickly trended on social media.
