“No one rivals Ruto’s track record”: Government spokesperson dismisses Uhuru, Gachagua remarks

Government Spokesperson Hon. Isaac Mwaura has pushed back against recent claims by opposition leaders suggesting that only certain individuals can unite the country.

Responding to remarks made by opposition figures lead by former President Uhuru Kenyatta and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua in Kirinyaga, Dr. Mwaura said the leaders were attempting to portray themselves as better suited to lead the nation.

He noted that many of them are former government officials who appear nostalgic about their time in office.

He urged Kenyans to give President William Ruto adequate time to deliver on his agenda, arguing that no other president has achieved as much within the same period.

Mwaura also called on leaders to support the Head of State, just as they received backing during their tenure in government, maintaining that none can rival President Ruto’s track record so far.

The government spokesperson dismissed opposition claims, insisting that the president remains committed to fulfilling his promises to Kenyans.

He pointed to ongoing development projects, including the construction of a stadium in Wajir ahead of this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations, as well as new roads, a terminal, and a runway aimed at opening up the region for business.
