Germany-based Kenyan and self-proclaimed TikTok President Nyako has sent shockwaves through Nairobi’s political scene after issuing a bold, unapologetic message to Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris—publicly announcing her intention to unseat her in the next General Election.
Speaking during a fiery TikTok Live on Saturday, December 27, 2025, Nyako made it clear she was no longer content with being a digital commentator. This time, she says, she is stepping into the arena—ready to take power.
Shading the current leadership, Nyako questioned the visibility and impact of the Woman Representative’s office, insisting Nairobi deserves a leader who shows up, delivers, and leaves tangible results on the ground.
“I am the next Woman Representative of Kenya. Who is the current Woman Rep? Let us get serious,” she declared. “Please, tell me—who is the Nairobi Woman Rep?”
After being informed that Esther Passaris is the incumbent, Nyako doubled down, sending a direct and provocative message to the sitting legislator.
“Tell her to start packing her things,” Nyako said. “Tell her I have asked her to plan her exit. We are coming.”
Branding herself the “TikTok president,” Nyako stressed that her political ambition is neither a joke nor a publicity stunt.
She described it as part of a wider, deliberate push by digital creators to move from online influence to real political power.
She warned that influencers were no longer content with debating politics from the sidelines—they are organised, determined, and ready to challenge long-standing political figures head-on.
“Us TikTokers, we are not laughing this round. We are not begging,” she said. “Let her know she will leave that seat for us—by fire.”
Nyako went on to criticise what she described as a lack of visible work from the Woman Representative’s office, arguing that Nairobi women deserve a fierce, present, and results-driven champion.
“We need a working office,” she said. “We do not need someone sitting on that seat with no visible work.”
She concluded by framing her bid as a fight for accountability—not fame—saying Nairobi deserves leadership that is active, fearless, and relentlessly committed to the people.
