Nyayo court set for three day Women’s Volleyball action as KVF announces season-opening fixtures

The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has unveiled the official schedule for the first leg of the 2025–2026 National Women’s Volleyball League, set to serve off from Friday, December 12, to Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Nyayo Basketball Court in Nairobi.

The opening leg will feature 11 elite women’s teams, signalling an action-packed start to the new season as clubs jostle for early bragging rights and crucial points.

KVF expects one of the most competitive league seasons in recent years, with established giants and emerging challengers set to clash over the three-day fixture.

Among the most anticipated matches is the Friday 4 p.m. showdown between perennial powerhouses KCB Bank and Prisons Kenya, a fixture many fans have already dubbed an early-season decider.

Saturday will also offer major highlights, beginning with a 12 p.m. clash in which Prisons Nairobi take on the youthful and fast-rising Young Spykers.

Later at 4 p.m., longtime rivals Prisons Kenya and Kenya Pipeline will renew their storied rivalry in what is expected to draw the biggest crowd of the weekend.

On Sunday, KCB return to the court at 12 p.m. to face Prisons Nairobi in a match that could influence the top of the standings heading into the second leg.
