Ole Sapit slams Mt Kenya’s economic empowerment projects, says they’re politically-driven, misplaced

Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit has strongly criticized the economic empowerment programs being rolled out across Mt Kenya region, saying they are politically-motivated and misplaced.

Speaking in Limuru, Kiambu County, Ole Sapit faulted leaders for prioritizing publicity stunts over real development, urging the government to redirect such funds to pressing needs.

He questioned the logic behind pumping millions of shillings into roadside donations and token projects while public schools continue to suffer due to delayed capitation disbursements.

He also condemned the rising trend of violence in political meetings, warning that it threatens national stability, urging Kenyans to protect democratic spaces from being hijacked by hired goons and intolerant groups.

Ole Sapit was speaking at Limuru Girls during the ‘One Student, One Tree launch’.
