Pastor Robert Lumbasi confirms marriage to Gospel Star Rose Muhando

Kenyan pastor Robert Lumbasi has confirmed that he is married to celebrated Tanzanian gospel musician Rose Muhando, putting to rest months of speculation surrounding the singer’s personal life.

Pastor Lumbasi who is a gospel minister, recording artist and a born again Christian , is well known through his famous songs in Swahili and Luhya.

He made the revelation during a recent church service, where he informed congregants that the two had formalised their union privately.

He stated that the traditional marriage process was completed earlier, including the payment of dowry, and asked the public to respect their relationship.

“The process began some time ago ,the dowry has been paid, and everything is now settled. Rose is already taken,” Pastor Lumbasi told congregants.

According to the pastor, the couple chose to keep their marriage away from the public eye, with only close family and friends aware of the union until now.

He described Rose Muhando as a woman of faith and said their shared spiritual values played a key role in bringing them together and that he respects her.

Rose Muhando is one of East Africa’s most influential gospel artists, known for her powerful songs and long-standing impact on the Christian music scene.

In past interviews, she had openly spoken about being unmarried and focusing on her faith, ministry, and raising her children who have different fathers, stating that she had them with different men while living on the streets.

Initially, she said she has been prioritizing work and family since her demanding music career and frequent travel made it difficult to maintain a marriage, while pastor Lumbasi had been married before.

News of the marriage has sparked widespread reaction across social media, with fans and fellow gospel artists congratulating the couple and wishing them well as they begin this new chapter together.

The announcement marks a significant moment for the gospel community in the region, uniting two well-known figures through faith and ministry.
