Police in Machakos County have rescued a night thief from locals who were getting ready to lynch him.
The suspected thief was found stuck in a church kitchen chimney early Monday, April 13 morning at AIC Kituluni Church in Kamuthanga area.
Locals who found him had started beating him before police officers from nearby police post arrived at the scene.
According to area aasistant chief, Noel Kilonzo, the suspect is currently being detained at Machakos Police Station.
