Several people are feared dead after flash floods ravaged Mai Mahiu area in Nakuru County early Monday, April 29.
The floodwaters are reported to have originated from a nearby dam that broke its banks.
Rescue operations are currently ongoing, although they have been hampered by a power blackout.
The Kenya Red Cross says that several people have been pulled from the rubbles and taken to a health facility in Mai Mahiu.
The Kenya Police, Nakuru County Disaster team, Kenya Red Cross and community members are at the scene.
