Police arrest a serial robber in Likoni, Mombasa

Acting on a tip-off, police officers from Vijiweni Police Station on Friday, July 4, arrested a notorious criminal from his hideout in Maweche area.

The suspect is linked to a string of robberies within Likoni Sub-County, Mombasa County, and is currently out on bail for similar offences pending before the court.

He remains in police custody, pending processing and arraignment in court.

Additionally, police officers arrested a suspect linked to a violent robbery that occurred in Parklands, Nairobi County, on June 28, 2025.

The success came after detectives followed several investigative leads, ultimately tracking the suspect to Eldoret town. The suspect was arrested on July 2, 2025 and a silver Toyota Axio believed to have been used in the commission of the crime recovered.

A search by the police yielded critical evidence, including a reflector jacket, a police headdress with a white cover, and two different vehicle registration plates. The items were suspected to have been used to disguise the suspect’s identity and facilitate criminal activities.

The suspect and the recovered items were escorted to Parklands Police Station for further investigation.
