Police officers in Garissa Town have arrested a suspected narcotics peddler in Ziwani area.
Acting on intelligence, the officers based at Garissa Police Station staged a raid in the suspect’s house, recovering 20 balls of cannabis sativa in a red carrier bag and KSh1,800 in various denominations, which is suspected to be proceeds from the sale of the drugs.
The suspect has been placed in custody at Garissa Police Station, awaiting processing and arraignment in court. The cannabis was secured as an exhibit.

This incident comes moments after officers from Kyatune Police Post, in collaboration with National Government Administration Officers, acted on information from members of the public and raided the home of a well-known drug trafficker within Malana village.
Upon conducting a thorough search of the compound, the security team recovered 12 bundles of Cannabis sativa (bhang) concealed in a sack.

The suspect was arrested and placed in custody pending processing and arraignment, while the exhibit was secured at the same facility.
