This development comes after a multi-agency security team conducted a successful operation in Kimnai Village, Chugor Sub-Location, along Kerio River.
During the raid, the team uprooted plants suspected to be Cannabis sativa (bhang), weighing approximately 200 kilograms. The illegal crop had been discreetly cultivated amid a maize plantation.
Efforts to trace and apprehend the suspects involved are ongoing.
At the same time, the National Police Service expressed commitment to intensify operations against drug-related crimes.
Police also urged the public to report suspicious activities to the nearest police station, post, or security camp, or call the toll-free numbers.
