After Thursday’s November 27th assault on Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma at Agoro Sare Primary School polling center during the Kasipul Constituency by-election on November 27, 2025, police initiated a comprehensive search for those believed responsible.
Police officers stopped five cars and two motorbikes during the operation.
Searches resulted in the detention of sixteen individuals suspected of being armed attackers, who were carrying ten machetes, five knives, as well as clubs and rocks.
The detainees remain in custody awaiting court proceedings.
