Police in Embu East Sub-County have arrested a suspect and recovered stolen property following a break-in at Fidenza School of Nursing in Kyeni.

The incident, which occurred on the night of July 14, 2025, saw unknown individuals vandalize the school’s students’ canteen and make away with assorted shop items, including an electric water pump.

According to the National Police Service, officers from Runyenjes Police Station responded promptly after receiving a report of the incident.

“Upon receiving the report, Police officers from Runyenjes Police Station immediately attended the scene and commenced investigations,” police reported.

Working closely with members of the local community and guided by intelligence, the officers managed to trace and arrest one of the suspects believed to be behind the burglary.

The breakthrough came swiftly, showcasing the power of community collaboration and timely action.

“The suspect led officers to his residence, where all the stolen items, including the electric water pump, were recovered,” the NPS noted.

The recovered items were found in good condition and were immediately secured as evidence. The suspect was taken to Runyenjes Police Station, where further investigations and legal action are underway.

Police commended both the officers involved and the local residents who provided critical information leading to the arrest.
