Police Constable Benard Siambe is currently on the run after killing two women at Kanyonyoo Market in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward, Kitui County.
According to reports, Siambe was in a romantic relationship with one of the victims, identified as Joy Mutisya, and the two were reportedly experiencing ongoing domestic issues.
Stanley Kiilu, a local resident, said the incident occurred on Sunday August 3, 2025 at around 10:00 p.m.
He was alerted by members of the public and upon arriving at the scene, found both women lying motionless.
The bodies were later moved to the Kitui Level 4 Hospital mortuary as police launched investigations into the incident.
Both women are said to have left behind young children with locals condemning the heinous act.
