In a successful raid to curb the theft menace, Police officers from Embakasi Police Station have successfully tracked a stolen iPhone 15 to the Mihang’o area of Kayole Sub-County, Nairobi.

In a statement dated August 28, 2025, police reported the operation led officers to Breeze Point Apartments on Turin Court, where two suspects were subsequently arrested.

”A subsequent search of the property led to the recovery of the following exhibits: the stolen iPhone 15, 321 assorted mobile phones, seven laptops, various mobile phone covers, laptop chargers, an LG music system, and two speakers,” read part of the police report.

The suspects have been arrested and are in custody awaiting processing and arraignment.

”All recovered exhibits have been secured at the same facility,” police reported.

Meanwhile, the National Police Service commended members of the public for providing crucial information, as well as the swift coordination between the Kayole and Embakasi officers, which led to the successful arrests and recovery.

The incident comes one month after a suspect believed to be dealing in stolen electronics was arrested by officers from Utalii Police Station following a targeted operation on July 10 in Mathare area of Nairobi.

According to the police, the operation was carried out based on intelligence provided by members of the public.

During the raid, officers recovered a trove of suspected stolen electronic items including 72 mobile phones, two laptops, a Universal Flashing Interface (UFI), a Pandora device, a camera, two external hard drives, and a CPU.

“Thirty-two of the recovered mobile phones have already been positively identified by complainants from M-KOPA Company,” confirmed the police. “We are now working to trace the owners of the remaining items, which have been secured as exhibits in police custody.”

The suspect, who operated an electronics repair workshop within his residence, was arrested and arraigned in court.
