2025/26 SportPesa League Round 24 began on Friday March 13, 2026, with Posta Rangers F.C. securing a convincing 2–0 victory over defending champions Kenya Police F.C. at Kasarani Annex.
The win marked an important moment for Posta Rangers, who halted an 11-match winless streak.
The hosts started the match strongly and took the lead in the 7th minute when Jackson Macharia capitalised on a defensive lapse by Kenya Police to finish from close range after intense pressure from the Posta attack.
Kenya Police gradually settled into the contest and tried to respond through sustained possession, but the Rangers defence remained organised to maintain their 1–0 advantage at half-time.
In the second half, Police head coach Nicholas Muyoti made tactical adjustments, introducing Marvin Nabwire and Ambrose Sifuna in an attempt to spark a comeback.
However, Posta Rangers sealed the victory in the 72nd minute. Substitute Dinken Mwema connected with a well-delivered corner from Crucial Wasambo, calmly guiding the ball into the net to double the lead and secure the result.
The victory lifts Posta Rangers from 13th to 12th place in the league standings with 28 points after 24 matches, while Kenya Police remain fifth on 37 points.
Round 24 of the league continues across the weekend with four matches scheduled for Saturday before concluding with another four fixtures on Sunday.
