President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to service delivery while downplaying political attacks from his rivals from the opposition side.
Speaking during his inspection tour in Funyula Constituency, Busia County, on March 18, 2026, President Ruto said his government would prioritize development over political distractions.

”When our competitors rise to engage on issues, we shall meet them there with clarity and reason. But when they descend into insults and distractions, we shall not lose focus; we will dedicate 1% of our time to respond to them. The remaining 99% would be directed toward serving Kenyans.” William Ruto noted.
During his visit President Ruto inspected the progress of the Nangina Affordable Housing Project, noting that legal challenges that had delayed its implementation had been resolved. He expressed confidence that the project would be completed within the next six months.
Ruto also launched the construction of the 15-kilometers Matayos-Nangina Sio Port Mumbaka roads, a project valued at KSh773 million, aimed at improving connectivity, boosting economic activities in the region.

The developments drew positive reactions from Kenyans, with one citizen praising the President’s focus on service delivery despite political distractions. The supporter described the housing and road projects as significant milestones for Busia County, expressing optimism that they will transform livelihoods and urging the government to continue driving progress.
