President Ruto mourns the death of Isiolo South MP Mohamed Tubi

President William Ruto has led the nation in mourning the death of Isiolo South Member of Parliament Mohamed Tubi, who passed away on Wednesday while receiving treatment at Nairobi hospital.

In a statement, President Ruto expressed deep sorrow over the legislator’s death, describing him as a dedicated public servant and a passionate advocate for education.

He noted that Tubi’s leadership was defined by his commitment to empowering communities through knowledge and creating opportunities for growth.

“I have learnt with deep sorrow of the passing on of Isiolo South MP, Hon Mohamed Tubi. On behalf of the government and the people of Kenya, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Isiolo South,” the President said.

Ruto praised Tubi’s unwavering dedication to transforming the lives of his constituents and advancing development across Isiolo, saying his legacy will remain a source of inspiration to many.

“Hon Tubi will be remembered as a leader who believed in uplifting his people through education and service,” he added.

Tubi was elected to the National Assembly in August 2022 under the Jubilee Party, succeeding Abdi Koropu Tepo.

Before joining Parliament, he served as the Speaker of the Isiolo County Assembly between 2013 and 2017, where he earned respect for his firm leadership and advocacy for good governance.

Leaders and residents of Isiolo County have also paid tribute to the fallen MP, describing him as humble, visionary, and committed to improving education and infrastructure in the region.

President Ruto concluded his message by praying for God to grant Tubi’s family and constituents comfort and strength during this difficult time. “May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace,” he said.
