Prophet David Owuor claims he predicted U.S. military action in Venezuela

Controversial Kenyan preacher Prophet David Owuor has claimed he foresaw the United States military intervention in Venezuela before it occurred a statement that has renewed debate over his prophetic assertions and public credibility.

Owuor describes a vision he says he received on November 16, 2025, just a day before departing Venezuela.

In the video posted on X, the self-proclaimed “Mighest Prophet,” recounts seeing former U.S. President Donald Trump clearing land in Venezuela and positioning a presidential vehicle there, imagery he interprets as predictive of America’s involvement in the South American nation.

“After Donald Trump cleared the land, I heard Donald Trump saying that now we can start developing it,” Owuor says in the clip, referring to what he claimed was a divine vision shared during a press briefing.

He also said Trump was shown where to park “the beast,” a term often used to describe the U.S. presidential motorcade.

Owuor asserts that he shared his alleged prophecy with Venezuelan officials, religious leaders and media figures at the JW Marriott in Caracas before returning to Kenya.

The claim has resurfaced amid global attention on the U.S. operation that resulted in the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026, in a reported action led by U.S. forces under a mission code-named Operation Absolute Resolve.

Maduro was seized by special operations units in Caracas and flown to the United States to face criminal charges.

During his visit to Venezuela in December 2025, at Maduro’s invitation, Owuor conducted prayers and prophesied that no harm would befall the embattled leader despite mounting U.S. pressure.

He framed his statements within a biblical context, citing passages warning of wars and national upheavals.

The contrast between Owuor’s message of protection and Maduro’s subsequent capture has drawn criticism from some observers and sceptics, who question the validity and timing of his prophecy claims.

Owuor’s controversial reputation extends beyond geopolitical pronouncements. He has been a polarising figure in Kenya, known for bold declarations and healing claims that have attracted scrutiny from authorities and religious bodies.

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) recently distanced itself from claims of miracle healings associated with Owuor’s ministry, urging Kenyans not to accept unverified supernatural claims without discernment.

National health regulators including the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) have also launched investigations into unverified healing claims linked to the preacher’s crusades, warning that such assertions could mislead vulnerable individuals and potentially endanger public health.

Owuor’s ministry, the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness, has challenged authorities to formally examine its documented healing cases and has threatened legal action against media organisations it says have misrepresented its work.

It is not clear whether the specific video showing Owuor’s claimed prophecy of U.S. involvement in Venezuela has been independently verified, and no official confirmation has been made linking his vision to actual foreign policy decisions.
