Prophet Owuor’s church dismisses August 2, 2025 world ending claims as false and misleading

The ministry of Repentance and Holiness has officially addressed the rumors circulating online and in public spaces, claiming that the world would end on August 2, 2025.

They released a press statement which was signed by the senior Archbishop Micheal Nieswand. The church labeled these claims as false, baseless malicious and intended to harm both the reputation of prophet Dr. David Owuor and the integrity of the ministry.

“Nobody knows the day or the hour when the Messiah will return,” the statement read, citing this from the bible, in the book of Mathew 24:36 to emphasize that even the prophet has never declared a specific date for the end of the world.

According to the church, Prophet Dr. Owuor has always been categorical in his teachings. They emphasized that such rumors are not only misleading to the public, but also dangerous to the testimony and unity of the church.

An official response to the claims was issued on July 13, 2025 and later on, it was broadcasted on media platforms on Radio 47 on July 15, 2025.

The ministry has urged all media houses, bloggers and members of the public to refrain from spreading such kind of information and call out for a return to truth, peace and discernment.

“Let us not be quick to spread gossip, but instead be diligent in prayer, discernment and unity,” the church added.
