PS Mang’eni attends the Africa Start-up Conference 2025 in Algeria

MSMEs Principal Secretary Susan Mangeni has represented Kenya at the Africa Start-up Conference 2025 Ministerial Summit.

In her presentation, she highlighted Kenya’s progress in positioning MSMEs as a central driver of our economy.

She shared the strides Kenya has made in credit inclusion through the Hustler Fund, the impact of the nationwide enterprise projects such as the NYOTA Project, which is providing business training and startup grants of Ksh. 50,000 each to more than 100,000 MSME startups.

Kenya also remains a pioneer on the continent in integrating digital technology into service delivery. Ongoing rollout of over 100,000 km of digital superhighway, with 35% completion and digitisation of 22,000 government services, has made it easier to access government services and improved the overall ease of doing business for MSMEs and entrepreneurs.
