Residents of Garbatula, Isiolo South, mourn the death of MP Mohamed Tupi

Residents of Garbatula, Isiolo South, are in mourning following the death of their Member of Parliament, Mohamed Tupi, who passed away on November 12, 2025 at a hospital in Nairobi.

A section of the residents began travelling to Isiolo town to attend the late MP’s burial, which is scheduled to take place on November 13, 2025.

The mourners described the late Tupi as a visionary leader and a strong advocate for education in the region. They said his untimely death has left a huge gap in the constituency’s leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the residents, Mohamed Roba praised the late legislator for his commitment to empowering youth through education. 

He noted that MP Tupi will be remembered for introducing a policy that ensured all secondary school students in Isiolo South had their school fees paid, a move that transformed many lives in the community.

The residents expressed their deep sorrow, describing Tupi as a selfless leader who dedicated his time and resources to improving access to education and uplifting the welfare of his constituents.
