Ronald Okoth has formally announced his departure from Sofapaka Football Club, confirming that he has stepped down from his position as CEO following the expiry of his contract.
The CAF C accredited coach has been Batoto Ba Mungu’s CEO since April 2024.
In his statement, Okoth expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to lead Sofapaka, acknowledging the club president for his trust and the entire management team, staff, coaches, and players for their unwavering support, collaboration, and dedication.
He highlighted the privilege of working alongside a committed and passionate team, celebrating key milestones achieved and the strong foundation laid for the club’s future.
“It has been an honour to work alongside such a committed and passionate team,” Okoth stated, reflecting on the club’s progress both on and off the pitch. He reiterated his pride in the club’s growth and thanked supporters and partners for their steadfast backing throughout his leadership.
While no longer serving as CEO, Okoth emphasized that his journey with Sofapaka does not end here. He affirmed his continued commitment to supporting the club in future strategic projects and initiatives, stating, “Sofapaka will always be home.”
As he looks towards new opportunities, Okoth concluded by urging fans to continue pushing forward and supporting Sofapaka FC. The club is yet to announce his successor.
