Their latest setback came on Wednesday, October 29, when they suffered a 2–1 home defeat to AFC Leopards at Gusii Stadium a result that marked Ingwe’s first-ever league win over them since Shabana’s promotion.
Speaking after the match, head coach Peter Okidi urged patience from fans, noting that the team is going through a rough patch but remains determined to recover form.
“I think one, we do everything maybe this is a lean moment, but we’ll rise up. There will be criticism, but to those fans who truly support the team, this is the time to cry. There will be a time to smile again. We just have to go back, work as a team, and focus on the next game,” said Okidi.
Elsewhere on Saturday, Mara Sugar will host Bandari at the Green Stadium in Awendo from 2:00 p.m., while Nairobi United take on Sofapaka at Dandora Stadium from 3:00 p.m.
