Rangwe Member of Parliament (MP) Lilian Gogo has criticized ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna over what she termed as “Wantam politics”, accusing him of advancing the agenda of political opponents.
Speaking during a meeting with her constituents in Rangwe, Gogo claimed that Sifuna had been “sent by the enemy” to destabilize the party from within.
She warned that the lies and divisive statements would soon catch up with those propagating them.
The legislator urged party members to remain united and focused, dismissing internal wrangles that she said were being fueled for political mileage.
At the same time, Gogo defended ongoing negotiations between ODM and President William Ruto’s UDA under the broad-based government arrangement.
She maintained that the talks would not in any way interfere with President Ruto’s hold on the presidency.
She called on ODM supporters to support dialogue efforts, saying they are aimed at fostering national unity and development rather than undermining any leadership position.
