“Solve political differences peacefully” – Kenyans urged at the 59th Convention of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (Jalsa Salana)

Kenyans have been encouraged to consider alternative mechanism to resolve political differences. A number of Ahmadiyya Muslim clerics and faithfuls attending the 59th annual Ahmadiyya Muslim convention in the United Kingdom say there is need for proper governance structures to enhance democracy and peaceful co-existence.

Kenya has been experiencing frequent violent protests over the past one year, due to political impasses that has seen a section of leaders call for dialogue.

The tense situation has seen a section of Ahmadiyya Muslims attending the 59th convention in the United Kingdom call tolerance and amicable resolution to conflicts.

“In the ongoing convention, the main preaching is on peace. There is no difference between the human race we are all equal and all is needed is coexistence amongst ourselves,” Shared Khawaja Muzaffar.

Democracy and good governance have been taunted as key enablers in reducing political agitation, with sheiks calling for more structured dialogues to unlock political stalemates.

The media has been encouraged to champion democracy tents for a just society.

During the convention the Ahmadiyya supreme leader Hazrat Mizra Masroor called for brother hood and togetherness to foster peace across the world.
