Over the last three financial years, the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has received unqualified audit opinions from the Office of the Auditor-General.
This means that the financial statements presented to the Auditor General by the State Department were found to be true and in full compliance with the relevant financial regulations and represents a sustained improvement compared to previous audit cycles that recorded unresolved audit queries and compliance gaps.
The consistent clean audit reflects strengthened financial controls, improved compliance with Public Finance Management regulations, and timely resolution of audit issues.
The achievement supports the Government’s Zero-Fault Audit Campaign championed by the Head of Public Service as part of the President’s broader public service reform agenda that calls on all public institutions to uphold the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and financial discipline in the management of public resources.
